Every year new patterns of lifestyle influence on its quality and duration are revealed. Simple changes can improve well-being and appearance.
What should you pay attention to?
Less meat, more fish
The human need for meat is exaggerated. Therefore, nutritionists advise to reduce its quantity in the menu: at least to one meal a day. Despite the fact that humans are carnivores and animal protein is essential to them, the body has difficulty digesting it. That is why it is not recommended to eat meat at night. In addition to useful substances, meat also contains a lot of toxins. A successful substitute for meat dishes can be ocean fish, which in addition to protein contains healthy omega-3 fatty acids, which our body does not produce itself, and receives only with food.
If wine, it's red.
Alcohol, of course, is not the most useful product, but if you consume it, it is better in the form of red wine. Rich in antioxidants and polyphenols, it slows the aging process and has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system. A sense of proportion is essential.
Olive oil instead of sunflower oil
The usual sunflower oil loses out to olive oil. The former consists almost entirely of omega-6 fatty acids, which are not very useful, while the latter contains oleic acid, which helps dissolve cholesterol plaques in the blood vessels. In addition, when fried, sunflower oil quickly oxidizes and becomes a real carcinogen. The olive can withstand high temperatures well. In general, though, it is better to limit the amount of fried foods in your diet.
Natural vitamins vs. synthetic vitamins
Numerous studies prove that synthetic vitamins are significantly inferior to natural vitamins. With today's diet, when there is free access to vegetables, fruits, meat and dairy products, a deficiency of a particular vitamin or trace element in the body is a rare occurrence. Therefore, it is better to aim for a complete menu rather than synthetic supplements.
Regime and discipline
And studies, doctors, and life itself prove that the body loves regimen in everything - nutrition, sleep, brain activity, etc. A thoughtful regimen allows our body to function with maximum efficiency and minimal waste. Any disorder causes disruption and complicates the functioning of all organs. Therefore, you should eat, work and go to bed at the same time.
Drink water as you wish
Water is the basis of our body, without it the body cannot function. It literally "flushes out" toxins and other impurities, helping cells to cleanse and regenerate. Therefore, a glass or two of fresh water with lemon juice and a spoon of honey on an empty stomach is an ideal way to start the day. The strong recommendation to drink two or even three liters of water a day has a rational basis, but is not suitable for everyone. You should not drink water because of the strength, unless you feel an urgent need to do so. The main thing is not to drink less than 1 liter per day to avoid body sluggishness.
Fermented milk products instead of milk
According to recent studies, after childhood the body stops producing the necessary amount of lactase, the enzyme responsible for breaking down milk sugar. Therefore, modern nutritionists are increasingly recommending to give up milk, because unmixed sugar is a hospitable environment for the reproduction of bacteria, and this leads to problems with the gastrointestinal tract. The optimal choice is low-fat dairy products.
Moderate portions
There is a huge range of culinary temptations all around us - no wonder that sometimes we eat twice or three times more than we really need. A primitive way to calculate an individual portion is with your own palm, which should contain protein foods and a side dish. Salad doesn't count (if it's a vegetable salad, not a meat salad with mayonnaise). Excess food means extra energy for its processing, as well as excessive weight. Therefore, it is better to reduce the portions. This can be done gradually, replacing some of the meat and side dishes with vegetables.
Activity & Sports
Moderate physical activity is the key to health and longevity. Our body needs exercise so that the body and all of its systems are toned. And if young people may not feel this need, with age it becomes more and more apparent. After all, a healthy glow, trim muscles and vigor, which at a young age are taken for granted, at a mature age are available mainly to those who practice sports.
