Dead Sea salt properties
The concentration of salt in the Dead Sea is 34 - 35%, which means that, simply put, there is about 350 grams of salt per litre of water. Interestingly, this salt lake is fed by various underground springs and the waters of the Jordan River, but there is no outlet for the water. Or rather, it doesn't go anywhere. The hot climate of the Dead Sea, on the other hand, allows the liquids to evaporate constantly, making the Dead Sea water concentrated.
By the way, another interesting fact: it is impossible to drown in such water - due to its density, it pushes to the surface any body in it. But it's not this property of the Dead Sea water that makes it so special.
The high levels of chloride salts of sodium, calcium, magnesium, bromine and potassium are what give the Dead Sea water its truly healing properties.
