Aloe Vera : Cosmetic Properties

Aloe vera is a plant with elongated leaves and fleshy, from which we extract a thick, clear gel that can be found in different forms: as a drink by draining and cleansing, pure for outdoor use and as an ingredient in creams and cosmetics.

Its alleged miraculous properties are to be found in the precious ingredients of which it is composed. Scholars count more than 150 active components , which can be grouped into 3 macro-groups:

• The anthraquinones , such as' aloin , which are mostly found in the outer membrane, green and leathery leaf and have detoxifying and laxative (be careful not to overdo it!).
• The mono and polysaccharides , which have antibacterial properties, antiviral and calming: in the cemannano , in particular, strengthens the immune system and is an important ally of the stomach and intestines, in case of aloe has been taken as a beverage.
• Important molecules such as enzymes , amino acids , vitamins and minerals , essential for health and well-being.

THE ANTI-AGING PROPERTIES OF ALOE

Thanks to the synergy between antioxidant and moisturizing substances contained in the plant, the aloe vera gel stimulates the production of collagen and elastin , two essential substances to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and to maintain a young and healthy appearance.

ALOE HAS AN ANTIOXIDANT ACTION

The vitamins and minerals (in particular manganese, copper and selenium) contained in aloe juice have a strong antioxidant power . They counteract the cellular aging process and fight the damage caused by free radicals , or the "waste" products of the cells.
